ITF / TXUT Student In-Take Forms

This policy relates to all content submitted for a grade, whether an assignment or project, for any degree level of program at Texas University of Theology (TXUT).*

Use of any generative AI tool, whether stand-alone products or integrated into other programs are not allowed in the use of any assignment or project, intended to earn a grade.*

I understand that using AI tools to generate essays and answers is not allowed for any work being submitted for a grade at TXUT.*

Plagiarism is presenting another person’s work as one’s own. Plagiarism includes any paraphrasing or summarizing of the works of another person without acknowledgment, including the submitting of another student’s work as one’s own.*

The submission of completed papers or projects, created by someone else is cheating.*

Any work, in whole or part, taken from the internet without properly referencing the corresponding URL may be considered plagiarism. Copying and pasting even part of a paragraph as your answer, without giving the original author credit, is plagiarism*

I will avoid plagiarism by using my own original wording for all answers and essays and will give credit to authors when quoting from their work.*

If I submit any document that contains plagiarism or is produced with AI tools, as part of my program requirements to earn a grade, I UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN BE EXPELLED FROM TXUT, IMMEDIATELY.*

I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I HAVE WILLINGLY PUT MYSELF IN THE POSITION OF EXPULSION, NO FURTHER ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY OPEN COURSES THAT I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED, BUT NOT FINISHED. THOSE OPEN COURSES WILL RECEIVE A GRADE OF ZERO AND NO COURSE REFUNDS WILL BE RECEIVED*

I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I HAVE WILLINGLY PUT MYSELF IN THE POSITION OF EXPULSION, ALL ASSIGNMENTS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN GRADED WILL BE REVIEWED. IF AI USE OR PLAGIARISM IS FOUND, THOSE GRADES WILL BE CHANGED TO ZERO.*

I understand that there is no acceptable excuse for cheating and that doing so is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Should plagiarism be found in my work for a course, I will be placed on academic probation, or in more extreme circumstances, expelled from TXUT.*
